Data residency and hosting regions
Blits.ai runs managed production environments in the European Union, the United States, Singapore, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Anywhere else, including Saudi Arabia, the platform runs in your own private cloud or data center, so conversations, knowledge and logs stay in the country you choose.
Managed production regions
Each region is a separate production environment with its own databases and storage. Your tenant lives in one region, and its data is stored there.
European Union
Location: the Netherlands
Infrastructure: Google Cloud
For customers under GDPR and DORA. Conversations, knowledge and logs stay inside the EU.
Qatar
Location: Doha
Infrastructure: Google Cloud
For customers in Qatar and the wider Gulf that need their data in the region.
United Arab Emirates
Location: UAE North (Dubai)
Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure
For customers that need their data to stay in the UAE.
United States
Location: United States
Infrastructure: Google Cloud
For customers that need their data to stay in the United States.
Singapore
Location: Singapore
Infrastructure: Google Cloud
For customers in Singapore and Asia Pacific that need their data in the region.
Every other country: your own infrastructure
The platform is Kubernetes native, so the same product runs wherever your regulator wants the data to be.
Private cloud
Runs in your own account at a cloud provider, in the region you pick, for example a Saudi cloud region.
On premises
Runs in your own data center on your own hardware, with the models hosted next to it.
Air gapped
On premises without any internet connection. Updates and models arrive through a controlled process.
What stays in the region
- Conversation transcripts, voice recordings and generated files
- Knowledge bases, uploaded documents and their vector indexes
- Customer data collected in conversations and passed to your systems
- Logs, analytics and backups
- Encryption keys for the environment
And the AI models?
Residency is only complete when the model runs in the region too. Blits.ai is model agnostic, so you decide per tenant which model providers are allowed. For strict residency, choose models that a cloud provider hosts in the same region, or open weight models that run inside your own environment, including fully air gapped. Calls to a model outside the region only happen when you allow that provider.
Built for the rules banks work under
European Union
GDPR for personal data, DORA for ICT risk at financial entities, and the EU AI Act. The EU region keeps data inside the EU.
Saudi Arabia
SAMA and the National Cybersecurity Authority expect customer data of Saudi banks to stay in the Kingdom. Blits.ai runs in a Saudi private cloud or on premises.
United Arab Emirates
UAE data protection law and Central Bank rules favor keeping banking data in the country. The UAE region or an on premises setup covers that.
Qatar
Qatar's personal data protection law and Qatar Central Bank rules apply to banks there. The Qatar region keeps data in Doha.
This page explains where the platform can run. It is not legal advice; your compliance team decides which setup your regulator requires.
