Arabic conversational AI that speaks the dialect
Customers in Riyadh, Manama, Cairo, Amman and Tripoli do not speak the same Arabic. Blits.ai configures each dialect separately: White Saudi, Bahraini, Egyptian, Jordanian and Libyan Arabic, so voice and chat assistants understand customers and answer the way they speak. Formal texts stay in Modern Standard Arabic.
Arabic dialects we configure separately
Each assistant has a language and country setting, for example ar-SA or ar-EG. That setting selects the speech recognition and voice, and the dialect rules the assistant applies when it speaks.
| Dialect group | Country | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| White Saudi | Saudi Arabia | Neutral urban Saudi Arabic, widely understood across the Gulf. |
| Bahraini | Bahrain | |
| Egyptian | Egypt | The most widely understood spoken dialect in the Arab world. |
| Jordanian | Jordan | |
| Libyan | Libya | |
| Modern Standard Arabic | All Arabic speaking countries | Used for formal texts such as disclosures and terms, and as fallback. |
What dialect support means in practice
Speech per country
Speech recognition and voices are chosen per language and country, so an assistant for Saudi Arabia hears and sounds different from one for Egypt.
Numbers the way people say them
Amounts, dates, times and percentages are spoken in the dialect form. Account and phone numbers are read digit by digit, and currencies use their local minor units.
Replies in the dialect register
Per assistant language rules keep answers in the chosen register, for example white Saudi for retail customers, while formal disclosures stay in Modern Standard Arabic.
Arabic on every screen
Right to left layout in the chat widget and webview, and Arabic labels on rich cards such as offers, statements and forms.
Why the dialect matters
An assistant that only speaks Modern Standard Arabic sounds like an official letter. Customers answer in their own dialect, read amounts and numbers aloud the way they say them, and hang up when the voice sounds foreign. This applies to a bank as much as to a telecom operator or a government service, because getting the dialect right decides whether customers use the assistant at all.
Blits.ai is in production at Tier 1 banks and enterprises in Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Libya. The dialect rules come from that work.
