Our approach to responsible AI
Blits builds enterprise conversational and agentic AI for organizations that operate under real scrutiny, including banks, government bodies, and global brands. This page explains the principles we hold ourselves to when we build and run AI on their behalf.
Effective date: January 1, 2026 · Blits B.V., Amsterdam
AI should make services more helpful without asking people to give up trust, privacy, or control. That belief shapes how we design our platform, how we handle data, and how we work with the organizations that deploy our technology. The commitments below apply across the AI systems we build and operate for our customers.
The principles we work by
People know when they are talking to AI
When you interact with an AI assistant or digital human built by Blits, you are told that it is an AI system, unless that is already obvious from the context. We do not design our systems to impersonate a human being.
A human stays accountable
Our systems are designed with human oversight in proportion to their impact. For systems that can take actions on their own, there are clear limits on what they may do and a defined way for a person to review, override, or stop them.
Data is protected
We handle the data entrusted to us in line with the GDPR, supported by our ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI DSS Level 1 programs. How customer data may be used is set out in each customer's agreement with Blits.
We test for accuracy and fairness
Before we deploy a system, and when we make material changes, we test it for accuracy and reliability. Where a system supports decisions that affect people, we evaluate it for unfair bias and record what we find.
Generated content is identifiable
Where it is required and technically feasible, synthetic audio, image, and video produced by our systems, including digital human output, is marked in a machine-readable way as artificially generated or manipulated.
We design to meet applicable rules, including the EU AI Act
We design our products to meet the obligations that apply to them under the EU AI Act, including its transparency requirements, and we keep pace with how those rules evolve.
European by design
As a European company, we build with European data protection and digital sovereignty expectations in mind. Where and how a customer's data is processed is agreed with that customer and set out in their agreement with Blits.
Working with our customers
Responsible AI is a shared effort. When an organization deploys Blits, the specific transparency, data-residency, and oversight requirements that apply to their use case are agreed during onboarding and reflected in how their system is configured. Where a customer operates in a regulated sector, we work to their requirements as well as our own.
How this relates to our other policies
This statement sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data; the Terms govern the use of our services. This page describes the principles behind how we build and operate AI. It is a statement of our approach and does not by itself create contractual rights; specific commitments to a customer are set out in that customer's agreement with Blits.
